Spanish Courses in Sosua

Sosua is for good value chasers and explorers looking for an active beach town. Sosua is centrally located on the North Coast, close to many other destinations you can explore on your own or on excursion. You will find many small hotels as well as large all-inclusive resorts. 
Sosua is the Acapulco of the Dominican Republic. You could say that this is where tourism first began back in the 70s and 80s. 
 

For the most part you can get around Sosua on foot if you are staying in the neighborhoods of El Batey or Charamicos. The streets are well lit and there are lots of people outside day and night. Motorcycle rentals are common. And there are many minibuses and taxis for trips to Puerto Plata, Playa Dorada or Cabarete.

The Institute is located in Sosua in the district El Batey, within a stone's throw of the city center and just a 5-minute walk away from the main beach.

The school building, sheltered by impressive old trees and lush vegetation, offers the ideal ambiance for concentrated learning in a tropical surrounding. Despite its central location the ambiance around the school is so tranquil that classes often take place on one of the four shadowed and airy terraces outside.

The classrooms are equipped in a simple, Caribbean style. Cozy sun-chairs in the garden, table-tennis, games and a small collection of light reading are to be used by all students.

During office hours, the students have free internet access to surf the web, answer their emails or make phone calls. Those who bring a laptop with wireless LAN-card can use our wifi access around the clock for free.

The garden, its terraces and an open-door communal kitchen create a personal and friendly environment, ideal for relaxation and exchange of experience. They serve as meeting places for the students learning Spanish and the Dominican students of the Casa Goethe who learn German or English in the same building as well.
